Key findings

The annual report concerns the Danish population's exposure to crime, including hate crimes. In 2020-2021, 0,6 % of the partipants reported to have experienced vandalism, violence and/or hate speech on the internet based on their race, sexual orientation or gender identity, an or their religous beliefs. In the period 2008-2021, 8 % of the victims of violence reported that the crimes was definitly rooted in racisme.

Sample details and representativeness

The survey is based on responds from 12.397 participants in the age group 16-74 years (48 % of the total sample of 25.687). Participants were randomly selected from the Civil Registration System (the CPR-register) in a way that constitutes approximately reprenstative.
